Data we access
The app accesses the following information only on-device; none of it is transmitted to any server over the internet:
- Location (GPS latitude/longitude): when you use the "Use my location" feature, your device's location is read only to calculate accurate prayer times, and is stored in the app's local settings (on-device storage). You can also enter your location manually and never grant this permission.
- Notification permission: used to show you a notification when a prayer time begins. Notification content is generated entirely on-device; no data is collected.
- Battery optimization exemption permission: requested so that some device manufacturers' (Xiaomi, Oppo, Huawei, etc.) aggressive battery management doesn't silently kill scheduled prayer time alarms. This has nothing to do with data collection.
What we don't do
- No account creation or sign-in is required.
- No analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs are used.
- No data is shared with or sold to third parties.
- Location or any other data is never sent outside the app (no network calls).
Data retention and deletion
All settings (location, language, notification preferences, etc.) are kept only on your device, in the app's local storage. Uninstalling the app deletes this data. You can change or clear your location at any time from the in-app settings.
Children's privacy
The app is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect data from children; in any case, no user data is ever transmitted to a server.
Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page, and the date at the top will be revised.
